Adam, Pablo and crew were phenomenal. From the start, communication and pricing was very smooth and very fair. They worked extra quickly while also safe and attentive to everything on the property. They removed 3 very large trees from the property, negotiated tight spaces with their crane including...

A sizable tree came down in my yard from the Nor”Easter this weekend. Called Adam, who came out and gave me a competitive quote. That very afternoon he and his team came by to take away the fallen tree, along with 2 others that needed to be removed. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up after...

We had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The initial property assessment was incredibly thorough and honest, Adam took the time to explain which trees needed immediate attention, which could wait, and why. It never felt like he was trying to sell us unnecessary work, just giving us...

Up for any challenge at a great price point. We had this massive tree a couple feet wide just a yard away from our home. The job required a crane and they owned one! so they offered a great price versus other companies requiring to rent one. Along the way we had them remove 8 other mature trees...

The best customer experience I've had in a very long time! I'd give them more stars if I could. During a storm a very large branch of the trunk of a Linden tree split off, fell across (crushed) a 7' tall pool fence, and landed on my neighbors yard, four days before we were moving out...

Most of our work is a few feet from something you care about

A house, a pool fence, the neighbor's arborvitae, the service wire. That is why the crew climbs and ropes pieces down, brings the bucket truck or the crane when the tree calls for it, and lays plywood across the lawn before any machine rolls over it.

When it comes down at night

“At 5:30PM I contacted a few companies via either VM or text (they were all closed for the day), asking to have this done ASAP, meaning the next day. I had low expectations. Well, I received a reply to my text at midnight from Adams saying that they would have a crew there at 7:30AM the next morning.”

Mark Pieper, Stow. A linden split in a storm and crushed a pool fence, nine days before the house closed.

If a tree is on your house, your car or your driveway, do not wait for morning. Call, and if nobody picks up, text a photo and your address.

How emergency calls work

What the crew has been doing this fall

September and October are the busiest weeks of the year. The first nor'easter came through at the end of September, and the calls since then have been a mix of trees that fell and trees that people decided should not get the chance. A few recent jobs, in the customers' own words.

Why the next few months are the best time to take a tree down

  1. Three big trees over fences and a neighbor's house, by craneThey removed 3 very large trees from the property, negotiated tight spaces with their crane including giant oak limbs that were overhanging fences and an enormous pine only a few feet from our neighbors house.Dan Forde, October 2026
  2. Ten big trees, one craneIt was a big job, but the whole team were very professional and you could tell they really knew what they were doing. Everything was done safely and efficiently, and they left the area clean and tidy afterwards.Alex, September 2026
  3. Two rotting maples down the day before a stormAdam's Tree Service was able to squeeze us in last minute the day before the storm hits and gave us a fair, itemized estimate and showed up right on time with a full, professional crew. They worked safely and efficiently, protecting the utility pole, electrical wires and our landscaping the entire time.Danith Yim, September 2026
  4. A dead tree hanging on the electric wire, handled the same eveningAdam responded immediately and brought his guy to take care of the situation in the evening.Pragati Tiwary, September 2026
  5. A tree down in the nor'easter, gone that afternoonThat very afternoon he and his team came by to take away the fallen tree, along with 2 others that needed to be removed. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up after themselves, no debris whatsoever.Alex Pappas, September 2026
  6. Thirty to forty trees cleared in two daysThe team of tree cutting is really efficient and work very hard. Cut 30~40 trees in 2 days and the price is very good.Ming Liang, October 2026

How a job goes

You call or text. Adam comes out, usually within a day or two and sometimes the same day if the crew is working nearby, walks the trees with you and gives you a price on the spot. The estimate is free, with no hidden fees added later.

On the day, the crew shows up when they said they would. Plywood goes down where equipment has to cross grass. The tree comes down in pieces, the brush goes through the chipper, the logs go on the truck, and the yard gets raked and blown off. If you want the chips spread or some wood stacked for the fire pit, say so and it is done.

Nobody leaves until you have walked the yard and you are happy with it.

Service areas in detail

Questions people ask before they call

How much does tree removal cost?

It depends on the tree and what is under it. A small tree with open ground around it is a few hundred dollars anywhere in Massachusetts. A tall pine over a roof that has to be climbed and roped down, or lifted out with a crane, runs into the thousands. Adam prices every job in person, for free, and you get the number before any work starts.

Are you insured?

Yes. Adam's Tree Service is licensed and insured, and we can send you a certificate of insurance before the job. Ask any tree company for one. If they cannot produce it, keep looking.

Do I need a permit to take down a tree in Massachusetts?

For a tree that stands fully on your own property, usually not. Three cases are different. A tree in the strip along a public road is a public shade tree, and the town Tree Warden decides what happens to it. A tree near a wetland, pond or stream can fall under the Conservation Commission. And on a designated scenic road, trees in the right of way need a hearing. If you are not sure, we will tell you when we look at it.

Will my lawn get torn up?

We lay plywood down where trucks and machines have to cross grass, and wood is carried or lifted rather than dragged. Several customers have written about it in their reviews, including one with brand new grass in the backyard.

Do you take the wood and clean up?

Yes. Brush is chipped, logs are hauled away and the yard is raked and blown clean. If you would rather keep the wood, we will cut it to length and stack it where you want it.

What about the stump?

Removal leaves the stump cut low to the ground. Grinding is a separate step, and we can do it the same visit or later. The stump is ground below grade so grass or a new planting can go in over it.

How soon can you come?

Estimates usually happen within a couple of days, and sometimes the same day when the crew is working in your area. Emergencies go to the front of the line.
